Bhagaamathie!!!

And yezzzz ..I watched #Bhaagamathie..there was silence in FB, nothing said, no shoutouts about the movie..why?! It wasn't as good as Chandramukhi or Arunthathi or any other female led movies? No catchy songs?! Not enough fear?!

If people are just gonna say "I think it is as same as Arunthathi or Chandramukh" or "Anushka is acting and must be good kot cause she is good"...well, lemme give a piece of my thought on what I sincerely think about this movie...

How many have read or even for goodness sake heard of Agatha Christie or Stephen King or John Grisham or James Patterson or Anne Rice or J.R.R Tolkien or Lewis Caroll are?! The least I'm sure you know who J.K.Rowling is right? Well, just Google it my naive and gullible lot..

Well to me, the people mentioned above are the Gods and Goddessses of Imagination I grew up reading whose books were transformed into Magnus Opus movies!!!..I'm gonna say much about the director, G.Ashok rather than the movie cause the man who wrote and directed Baagamathie deserves to be called our next Indian version of another imagination god.."yaaru sar ninggeh...theivameh, my standing ovation to you sir 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏...

I mean, you just made me and my movie buddy, Nev Les' night splendid..BHAAGAMATHIE is all the WILDEST, PSYCHO-SUSPENCE, childlike IMAGINATION, CREATIVITY to the MAX and an EPIC PIECE Of ART and food for the thought  which is just too underrated, better said, A FEAST to the thought especially for a psycho-thriller-supernatural-horror-intelligence-sci-fi movie maniac like me..combining urban legend and socio-political revenge to narrate a delicious conspiracy ?! Wow, that takes the movie to just many great height!!!!! Are you by any chance a big fan of Agatha Christie or James Patteson, Mr. G.Ashok?! At least Scooby Doo?!!!

We as viewers were just tricked with a brilliant mind play and the last I experienced the same was when I watched Nicole Kidman starred psycho-horror 'The Others'...wouldn't want to be a spoiler to the many who had not watched Bhaagamathie and trust me..one hell of a mindboggling climax!!!!!

Really really want Anushkha Shetty, G.Ashok and Bagamathie to badge the best category award regional and nationwide..Indian cinematic world, please give us more and more geniuses like Maniratnam, G.Ashok, Atlee, Shankar, Krishnan, Bala, KBalanchander, Shridar, Bharathiraja in the future..the Indian entertainment world needs Perfectionists and Geniuses like them!!!!!

And to Nehru Buddyz, I can't rate the movie cause I'm doing more..I'm celebrating the movie!!!!!

A Directorial Genius, A Paradigm Shifter,Male Version of Jane Austen - Padma Shri K.Balachander

When I watched Aval Oru Thodarkathai@SunTv which is being aired as a tribute to the late K Balachander (who passed away a day before Christmas Eve 2014), it was more of a great lost to the Tamil movie industry whose directions I used to admire since I was small..

All his directions were ahead of his time and mostly with new ideology and out-of-the-box thought for us,the common society to ponder about especially on women's liberation and feminism, revolution of minorities in the society towards a healthy lifestyle by seeking happiness,i.e. remarriage of widows, love life between elders, survival of single woman and mum in a sadistic society and many more which sumtimes amazed me because all these untold stories would appear to be 'lain drp yang lain' to us and brought to our viewing for us to judge or to be exact, accepting the fact that life is complicating and you have to get on with it ..

Of many Iyakunar Sigaram's creations, movies that mesmerised me most were:

a)Aval Oru Thodarkathai(what an acting by Sujatha, simply excellent!!)

b) Iru Kodugal (inspired the concept of belittling a line without making changes to it by drawing another longer parallel line, some sort of alternative way to tackle an existing problem with no solution- man stuck between wife and ex-wife and how life has to go on)

c)Varumaiyin Neeram Sivappu (poverty vs ambition)

d)Sindhu Bhairavi (evergreen musical treat and awareness on assimilation/simplification of carnatic music to be accepted/comprehended by ppl from all walks of life)

e)Azhagan (a widower stuck in more than a love triangle-Madhubala and Banupriya acted so well)

f) Puthu Puthu Arthangal (a short retreat for a married man and woman from their dreadful marriage life)  
g)  Parthaley Paravasam (2nd opportunity for reunion of marriage between a divorced couple)

The best part I'm gonna miss most which can only be seen in KB's directions are the inception of new thought and ideology based on the inspiring poetry by the great Tamil poet,Mahakavi  Bharathiyar whose poems I started reading since small after realizing the impact of the poems conceptualised as super duper characters by Mr KB especially those super heroines whom we would wonder whether  such personalities do exist in real life or not?!..

Nobody could be the next KBALACHANDER for sure, maybe duplications of his idea which is a norm to this era but for me, his vision and idea in creating all those Magnum Opus will remain as the greatest contribution to the Tamil entertainment world cos I always saw him as not just a movie-maker but a directorial incarnation of Bharathiyar to the Tamil world and the male version of Jane Austen who popularized the greatness of womenhood..

Not to forget, KB will also be cherished for being the talent mill creating many great actors such as Kamal, Rajini, Suhasini,Saritha,Sujatha and Sri Priya..RIP KBalachander-ji,you are indeed a 'Kaviyathalaivan@Epic Hero'...

That One Best Shopaholic Moment-2015!!

Suprisingly, no doubt was sinfully commiting my usual new year celebration shopping, I noticed sumthing extraordinaire  during my shopping fiesta..

Almost ALL the sales people I met at all the various shops I went were sooo sweet to me which hardly happens - from the Padini lenchai who tried all his best to get me this light purple office shirt I liked so much to the Black Lab men's boutique sales guy and lady who without fail wanted to turn me into a K-Pop fashionista and convinced me to get a cool T-shirt on a 50% discounted price.

And then, the leather shop kak Indon who excitedly recommended this new men's clutch which she said I could be her face to promote her shop,Ceve since the pouch is a new arrival.

The Histyle guy who was presenting to me almost all the latest shoes which will be the next vogue of 2015 and even bid me adieu by wishing me for the new year.The Doc Martens' sales guy who greeted me well with a sincere smile (not that cold-shouldered air hostess smile k) and who in fact walked me through the evolution and innovation of how Dr Martens diverted from a safety boots maker to a trendy-punkish shoe brand which has been promoted by our very own Wak Doyok and even told me to try on but I mcm malu2 to pakai and lastly, this sweet watch promoting kakak at Jusco who was basically sweet talking the whole time when I was trying the watch and boy did she make me buy the watches?!..yes,she did!!! 

No doubt all these sweet souls were just doing the job given to them, it takes a big heart with luv for people, right attitude, good interpersonal skill and etiquette to provide a first class customer service cos there was one dungu among all these great ppl from High Cultured who just irritated me with his customer service yg lembap sangat(rasa wana ketuk him)..

It could be a late shopping than my usual 1st day of the new year shopping but am so satisfied with what I got and thanks to God for indirectly saying that it's gonna be a great year ahead and hoping for many good things to happen...
